With Kenya still a long way to go in footballing terms as far as the World Cup is concerned, local fans have shifted patriotism to various nations as the tournament hots up.
But perhaps every Kenyan should be supporting the Swedish national team, considering there is one particular player who has his roots right here at home.
Known to very few, Swedish leftback Martin Tony Waikwa Olsson who also plays for relegated English premier league side Swansea City bears some Kenyan roots.
His link to Kenya is not far-fetched as Olsson is born of a Swedish dad and a mother whose origin is in Murang'a hence the player's Kikuyu name, Waikwa
Not only that, he also has a twin brother, Marcus, who plays for Derby County in the English second tier.
Jessica was in the country in January 2017 to tie the knot with her bae – a German professional basketball player Dirk Nowitzki.
