A letter has been doing rounds In social media giving Weston Hotel 7 days to vacate, to facilitate demolitions.
The letter titled: Demolitions of Weston hotel and other properties in riparian areas and grabbed land.
It goes ahead saying the buildings including Weston hotel will be demolished in the next 7 days including residential buildings in various parts of Nairobi.
But an insider in city hall, by the name Abraham mutai has dismissed the Letter.
Mutai took to Twitter to dismiss the letter with the following information.
"Dear fellow Kenyans, this has turned out to be fake news. Am not sure the origin but with the recent city hall behavior, this must have originated city hall to test the waters. And it worked. The letter has several inconsistencies though. Apologies for those who have been misled."
The letter is clearly fake.The authors of the letter have hidden agenda against deputy president Ruto, who owns Weston hotel.
