Kenya police has been merged with administration police today by president Uhuru Kenyatta to form a strong force of combined general police service.
This is a Genius move by President Uhuru Kenyatta. He merged Kenya Police and AP to form 64,000 strong General Duty Police..
He has also Abolished policy of "Free and Mandatory Housing" for junior officers which forced them to live in shared shanties inside police lines.Junior police are set to receive rent allowances to live anywhere and integrate with communities.
Police officers now living in deplorable conditions will be a thing of the past.
Police reservist will also from now be deployed to Somali border and areas prone to clashes like Pokot.
