Governor okoth obado was yesterday grilled in DCI headquarters in Kisumu, Okoth obado is a person of interest in the brutal murder of Sharon otieno which has hit National headlines for the pas few days.
The detectives had come with questions mainly targeting the relationship between the Governor and the slain university student.
They also wanted to know if the Governor was aware of meeting between his personal assistant, and Sharon otieno and barrack Odour.
During the interrogation, A detective who spoke on anonymity said that the Governor was accompanied by two lawyers cliff ombeta and another lawyer.
The governor said that the allegations against him were political in nature and strange.
Asked if he knew Sharon , he admitted he knew her but did not divulge more details about the kind of relationship they had.
Okoth obado was also asked to provide date and time he spoke with the slain student so that police can compare with those in call logs.
Obado said tha he is innocent on what happened to the slain student.
Obado will still be summoned as the case continues to unfold.
