 Luo is fourth largest and famous tribe in kenya after Kalenjin, kikuyu and luyhias mostly occupying lake regions of Kenya. They have also spread in almost all parts of Kenya like any other tribe. Luos have been identified to have a unique lifestyle and its really not a big deal for them.

Now straight to the point, It is clear that most luos don't build houses in there homeland which has made them be subjected to criticism and mockery from other tribes. It doesn't mean that this habit is explicitly for them but in most cases, they fall victim of

Witchcraft.

Witch craft is one of the reasons why luos don't build houses at home. For example, in Alego and Ugenya regions. If it is discovered that you want to build a house, not just a house, a luxurious house, my friend you may die before even finishing that house. It is not their wish not to build but the community is hostile and don't like those who try to progress. It is very sad indeed. Instead of providing support, your are being witch-hunted to be killed. For the fear of being witch hunted, many would prefer to go and stay far away and enjoy their life. Only death and burial will take them back home.

Lifestyle.

Actually, most people will agree with me wthat luo is a lifestyle . They are living for today, tomorrow will take care of itself 'pesa otas'. Most believe that what they have is for today's use. Tomorrow will also come with something to take care of itself.

Instead of investing, they move around from city to city with expensive cars in expensive hotels, feeling on top of the world. They prefer to have expensive gadgets and expensive rental apartments and mansions that they don't own. They go to an extent of writing their names on the cars.

I am sure most luos will agree with me that the above sentiments are true. Its high time luos to wake up and focus. You never know what may come for tomorrow. As they said, may hey while the sun shines.
