Matiangi has issued statement to striking matatus.
Speaking today after matatu owners kept off the road while striking.
Those matatus who were operating hiked fares.
Here is what matiangi said.
"Let us stop these monkey games where everybody thinks they can get their way around. We all must go back to order and we are not relenting on this matter. Those who want to keep away their vehicles at home as long as they please,” matiangi was quoted by citizen tv kenya
He further added that all rules must be followed
He said that all those matatus which did not report to work today will have their licenses revoked
"The Transport CS has instructed the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to review licenses of those Saccos that are not operating today… When you are licensed you are supposed to do a business not blackmail people.”he added
Matiangi also warned owners taking advantage of the situation to hike fares urging all matatu owners to normalize fares.
